I鈥檓 thrilled to share that last week, Dr. Chris Omelon, who holds a joint appointment with Geology and Geological Engineering, received the prestigious 2023/24 Society of Graduate and Professional Students John G. Freeman Excellence Award! This honour highlights the exceptional contributions of faculty members to both the SGPS and the broader Queen鈥檚 community.
Chris is a fabulous colleague; he embodies generosity in service to our department, his students, and his fellow faculty members. His passion for teaching and mentoring students is nothing short of inspiring! Anyone fortunate enough to co-supervise or work alongside Chris knows just how deserving he is of this award.
