    Finding the formula for physically active kids

    Queen's researcher Ian Janssen, a professor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies, has over the last four years听undertaken three projects with the support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation, each with the aim of pinning down just how active Canadian children are, what factors affect their activity, and how their activity influences their health.

    Queen's researcher Richard Birtwhistle is听the chair and principal investigator of the Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network (CPCSSN) which听collects patient information stored in electronic medical records (EMR) of primary care practitioners across Canada to help researchers advance treatments of chronic diseases.
