My doctoral research focuses on critical phenomenology and social reproduction theory, specifically how oppressive capitalist social relations come to structure lived, embodied experience and Being-in-the-world. Topics on which I am currently writing include: Merleau-Ponty鈥檚 account of operative intentionality in Phenomenology of Perception and its relation to bodily needs (such as sleep and hunger); Marx鈥檚 early writings on alienated labour and Iris Marion Young鈥檚 theory of oppression; de Beauvoir and Arendt鈥檚 contrasting accounts of labour and domestic work; and SRT frameworks for revolutionary praxis and freedom.
