The Public Health and Preventive Medicine (PHPM) program at Queen鈥檚 University is a unique training program jointly administered by the Department of Family Medicine and Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington (KFL&A) Public Health. Over five years of training, residents develop their skills as physicians through learning experiences that explore ways to improve the health of individuals and communities at the local, provincial, national, and international levels. Upon graduation, residents receive certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Most residents also choose to receive certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
