³ÉÈË´óƬ Sustainability Conference 2025
9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
This year, our annual conference theme "The Butterfly Effect of Sustainability: Linking Actions to Impact", will explore sustainability through an interdisciplinary lens. Our goal is to foster awareness of environmental, social, cultural, and economic sustainability, highlighting the idea of a circular economy, corporate social responsibility (CSR) beyond greenwashing, and environmental justice. We hope that our delegates will walk away feeling empowered with actionable steps to drive meaningful change through sustainable living and informed choices.
Join us on March 8th from 9am-4:30pm in Mitchell Hall in the DDQIC Rose Event Commons to learn about the growing role of an interdisciplinary approach to sustainability in today's age, as our generation begins to enter the workforce. Hear from our esteemed keynote speakers and a panel of industry professionals, scholars, and local business owners. Light breakfast and lunch is included.
Key conference focus areas:
- Addressing challenges and exploring ethical and sustainable solutions to ensure that businesses are acting in a socially responsible manner that safeguards the environment
- Promoting environmental justice, especially the impact on Indigenous communities in Canada, and how indigenous land stewardship can be beneficial for conservation
