Please join us for the presentation entitled 'Alberta Health Services: Path towards Registered Nurse Prescribing', presented by Tyler Burley, RN MN and Julia Hews-Girard, RN PhD. This event is free, and open to all.
Tyler Burley is the Provincial Senior Practice Lead for Nursing Professional Practice at Alberta Health Services (AHS). In his role, within the Associate Chief Nursing Office, Tyler leads the RN Prescribing Implementation across the organization, as well as other initiatives seeking to optimize nursing practice and presence in health care. Tyler has worked in a variety of roles in Ontario and Alberta across all domains of nursing practice and holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from Queen’s University and a Master of Nursing degree from the University of Calgary.
Julia Hews-Girard is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Nursing and a professional practice lead (casual) in ACNO. She completed her PhD at Queen’s University and her post-doctoral training at the Cumming School of Medicine at UCalgary. Her research focuses on improving access to, and delivery of, acceptable mental and physical health services for emerging adults.
