    Description:

    Dr. Lilian García Alonso Alba, Visiting Scholar in the Master of Art Conservation Program of the Department of Art History and Art Conservation, will be lecturing and providing workshops on January 30 – 31, 2025. Dr. García Alonso Alba is a researcher at the at the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) and the National Council of Humanities, Sciences and Technologies (CONAHCYT) in Mexico. Her research focuses on sustainable conservation methods and bio-cultural heritage, particularly the study of native Mexican orchids, agave and endemic plants known for their properties as binders, soaps and insect deterrents.
