Faculty and advanced PhD students are invited to join Khadija Coxon, an acquisitions editor at McGill-Queen鈥檚 University Press, for a book publishing workshop on Friday May 23 in Stauffer room 014 from 1-3 pm.
The session will begin with an overview of the stages of publishing a book with a North American university press:
- identifying a publisher for your manuscript project,
- writing a book proposal,
- transforming a dissertation into a book manuscript,
- navigating the peer review process,
- getting involved in marketing and promotion.
The presentation will be followed by a questions and answers period, open to all topics related to scholarly publishing.
