Please join us for the presentation entitled 'Promoting Anti-Racism in Canadian Nursing Education: A National Call to Action', presented by Jean Daniel Jacob, RN/IA, PhD, Mwali Muray, RN, MBA, PhD, and Rani Srivastava, RN, PhD. This event is free, and open to all.
Dr. Jean Daniel Jacob is the Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN). He oversees the Association’s activities, leading CASN in fulfilling its mission: to promote high-quality nursing education in Canada in the interest of healthier Canadians. His scholarship interests primarily focus on psychiatric nursing and forensic psychiatry.
Dr. Mwali Muray is an assistant professor at the University of Ottawa, School of Nursing. Her research interests are to advance the cause of minority population health, and supporting community leadership in enhancing the quality of patient care and improving patient outcomes
Dr. Rani Srivastava is Associate Professor and Dean of Nursing at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. She is co-author of the CASN publication Promoting Anti-Racism in Nursing Education in Canada. Her research has focused on organizational enablers for culturally competent care; teaching pedagogies for diversity and equity; supporting transitions of care from hospital to community, and supporting /strengthening nursing practice through leadership, mentorship, and technology.
