    Panelists: Dr. Jordan Shurr (Faculty of Education), Dr. Liying Cheng (Faculty of Education), and Dr. Luigi Iannacci (Trent University)

    In this panel presentation, three scholars will draw on research to share their perspectives on inclusivity in today’s classrooms. With a focus on reconceptualizing disability, exploring the role and profession of special education in schools, and considering the value of linguistic and cultural diversity within learning contexts, this panel will present research and practices that will help you better understand inclusivity as a fundamental principle of contemporary education. This event is part of the Indigeneity, Inclusion, and Equity Series (IIE). After five IIE workshops or lectures students, staff, and faculty are eligible to receive a Certificate of Participation.
