Join us for a discussion with a panel of Queen鈥檚 and Kingston community members about the Global Refugee Crisis and Our Community鈥檚 Role. The discussion will centre around:
- The scope of the refugee crisis and some of the reasons for forced migration
- What is (or isn鈥檛) being done at the federal and local level to respond to the global refugee crisis
- How newcomers view the crisis and what agency they have (or don鈥檛 have) in influencing support initiatives
The event will take place on November 20th in the Mitchell Hall Rose Innovation Hub from 5:30 鈥� 7:00pm as part of the Queen's Reads program.
