SHITIFICATION 鈥� The Music Theatre Creation Lab students have worked in groups to create solo songs, duets and ensemble numbers on the theme of 鈥渟hitification,鈥� or more specifically, the aspects of our lives that seem to get worse over time, often as the result of increasing corporate profits or government inaction. Planned obsolescence in manufacturing is a good example of this phenomenon. In the tech world, the creation of an App that is initially free and wonderfully useful, starts to deteriorate with the insertion of annoying ads that can only be removed by purchasing the App or subscribing with a monthly fee. Come and hear the class gripe about the shitty situations that society often seems stuck with, while revelling with a few big laughs in the hypocrisy of modern life.
