Dr. Sharon Holland

Dr. Sharon Holland is the author of Raising the Dead: Readings of Death and (Black) Subjectivity (Duke University Press, 2000) and The Erotic Life of Racism (Duke University Press, 2012). She is also at work on the final draft of another book project entitled simply, 鈥渓ittle black girl.鈥� Her main areas of concentration are feminist, queer and critical race theory. Dr. Holland blogs about food, writing and all things equestrian at "The Professor's Table."

Dr. Naisargi Dave

Associate Professor, Department of Anthropology, University of Toronto

Dr. Naisargi Dave is the author of Queer Activism in India: A Story in the Anthropology of Ethics (Duke University Press, 2012) and The Social Skin: Humans and Animals in India. Her work critically engages with humanism and the privileging of reason to consider myriad facets of working with and for urban and working animals in India.
