The Office of Indigenous Initiatives and the School of Graduate Studies are pleased to invite you to attend the Indigenous Research Collaboration Day at Queen鈥檚 University. This is an annual event focusing on research collaboration with Indigenous communities. Each year this event provides a keynote address followed by workshop sessions and panels bringing Indigenous and non-Indigenous academics, students, community members and invited guests together.
In 2020, the Indigenous Research Collaboration Day will be hosted online, and this year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淚ndigenous Research Ethics鈥. Conducting ethically sound research with Indigenous communities involves reciprocity, shared decision-making, respect of Indigenous knowledge, and relational accountability in alignment with the unique needs, values and cultures of Indigenous peoples. We envision this event as an opportunity to share experiences about building ethical relationships and Indigenous research partnerships in a good way.
