    Indigenous Perspectives on Learning: Principles and Practices for Decolonizing and Indigenizing Curriculum

    Description:

    Join Ian Fanning, former Director of Student Success and Service Delivery, and faculty member at First Nations Technical Institute for a sharing circle and practical workshop.

    The publication of Queen’s Extending the Rafters: The Truth and Reconciliation Commission Task Force Final Report, has given the Centre for Teaching and Learning a clear priority to support individual Queen’s educators, as well as entire Departments, in their work to decolonize curricula and adopt Indigenous pedagogies and ways of knowing. We are pleased to be hosting two visiting Indigenous pedagogy professionals who will be providing sessions on Indigenous learning perspectives. To accommodate as many schedules as possible, the sessions are scheduled at different times on two days.
