    Description:

In 1918, Queen’s University officially barred black students from enrolling in the Faculty of Medicine. The policy was effected until 1965 and formerly rescinded in 2018. For 100 years, the remarkable legacies of more than 50 black medical alumni who attended in the early part of the 20th Century were forgotten. Queen’s alumnus Edward Thomas presents his research with evidence from hundreds of documents that have far-reaching consequences to our understanding of Black History at Queen’s.
