    Description:

Join us for a tour of the historic Douglas Library, where information services and resources are available for learning and research, in a space that is conducive to contemplation and collaboration.

Inside of Douglas you will two distinct collections. W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections Library, and the Engineering/Science Library. Each with their own unique collections and spaces.

Staff at Jordan preserve and provide access to a variety of materials, including rare books, maps, posters, and the impressive Edith and Lorne Pierce Canadiana collection.

In 1997 the Engineering and Science Library opened in Douglas Library. Library staff support students, faculty, and staff in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, and science departments of the Faculty of Arts and Science, as well as related research centres.

Located on the top floor of Douglas Library, the 1923 reading room is one of ³ÉÈË´óƬ's most iconic spaces. Beautifully preserved solid wood carrels and chairs beneath vaulted ceilings, paired with stained glass windows, and the warm glow of brass study lamps are sure to make you feel like you've stepped back in time.
