    Communication: Styles & Stumbling Blocks

    Description:

    In this workshop, participants will gain insights into the communication process and their unique communication style, and learn to recognize some of the barriers to successful communication. The knowledge gained in this workshop is vital for anyone wishing to refine their personal or professional communication skills.

    Learning Outcomes:

    • Define communication
    • Describe various aspects of the communication process
    • Assess your communication styles, and identify your own strengths and trouble spots
    • Recognize different communication styles
    • Identify some barriers to effective communication
    • Develop strategies to increase communication effectiveness
