Please join us for the online Queen’s School of Nursing Academic Series entitled 'Cancer burden and outcomes for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities', presented by Alyson Mahar, PhD. This event is free, and open to all.
Dr. Alyson Mahar is an epidemiologist and health services researcher. Her goal is to help all Canadians with cancer get a quick diagnosis, the best treatment, and to live long and well by identifying and addressing inequities in cancer care delivery.
She leads a project focused on cancer among adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities in Ontario and Manitoba. The project received funding from CIHR and Dr. Mahar is funded by the Canadian Cancer Society as an Emerging Scholar for MEGAN-CAN.
